Ka-yuen LEUNG is currently studying Japanese
in Osaka. She earned her first degree in
Linguistics in City University of Hong Kong in
2012. Her research interests include Chinese
character processing of adult native speakers,
character recognition and memorization. She
would like to express her gratitude to Dr. Bin LI,
her supervisor, for her guidance and support.
She would also like to thank Dr. Lung-yang CHIN
and Ms. Yuxia WANG for introducing the
eye-tracking machine named “Eye Tracking
1000”.

Vanlee Tsz-yan LEE is currently working
in a multinational corporate as a Talent
Development Assistant. She graduated
from City University of Hong Kong in 2012
with First-Class Honours in Linguistics and
Language Technology. Her research interests
include sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics and
language acquisition. She likes to thank

subjects and the impact of global concerns on
Asia. She earned her first degree in Cultural
and Heritage Management in City University
of Hong Kong in 2012. She would like to
