Suren Mark DE SILVA, is a Sri Lankan
international student currently involved in
teaching English and working with Hong
Kong’s ethnic minority youth. He earned his
first degree while on scholarship at Lingnan
University in 2009. His research interests
include ethnic minority diaspora’s, the
Global South and reconciliation and ethnic
harmony within Sri Lanka. He is most
grateful to the advice and help from
Dr. Ruben GONZALEZ-VICENTE .
Clarice Kit-ying LO is currently studying a
master degree in Social Sciences majoring
in Development Studies in City University of
Hong Kong. She earned her first degree in
Business Administration in City University of
Hong Kong in 2010. Her research interests
include issues related to development and
particularly political economy in Asia. She
would like to thank Dr. Paul CAMMACK, her
supervisor, for his insightful suggestions and
guidance in completing this project.

April Pui-yee CHAN is currently working in a
local real estates company as an assistant art
development officer. Her major duties include
liaising with artists and gallery operators for art
exhibitions. She earned her degree in Cultural
and Heritage Management in City University
of Hong Kong in 2012. She likes to thank
Dr. Pedith CHAN, her supervisor, for her
guidance and support in writing this paper.
Andy Siu-on CHAN is currently taking a gap
year exploring the Western hemisphere prior to
commencing postgraduate studies in Museum
Science. His present engagements include
heritage research and translation projects
with the Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society and
perfecting latte art. His research interests
include modern art, heritage preservation
and exploring the incorporation of technology
in museums. He appreciates the continuous
guidance and supports from his supervisor
Professor Longxi ZHANG, for making this
project a success.
