Department of Electronic Engineering
I am pleased to see another year of excellent achievements made by the
project students and staff of the Department of Electronic Engineering. Their
endeavors not only create outstanding papers but also provide inspiring ideas
for further research and development. Research by students would be the roots
where the future of our technology stems; therefore, all efforts made should be
emboldened and commentated.
In year 2012, research papers of five students from the Department of Electronic
Engineering have been carefully selected to be placed in the Outstanding
Academic Papers by Students Collection of the CityU Institutional Repository.
These papers cover a wide spectrum in electronic engineering discipline from
telecommunication, information technology and control/power electronics. I am
truly enthusiastic to see these theories and concepts developed be applied in
practice and consequently a higher level of commercial products be created.
Finally, I would like to congratulate the students as well as the staff engaged
from the EE Department for their exhaustive devotion and involvement to
achieve such remarkable papers.
