Department of Applied Social Studies
I am extremely delighted to see that students of the SS Department are able to
keep up with their hard work to win another 16 OAPS awards this year. These
papers cover a wide range of topics in criminology, psychology, social work
and sociology, and are highly sophisticated. As such, they can be considered
as an indicator of the caliber of our students as well as the dedication and
competence of their supervisors. This also demonstrates the commitment to
pursuit of excellence in teaching at all levels and enhancing student’s ability in
knowledge discovery, which is central to the mission of the department.
For those students and teachers who worked together to make the 16 awards
possible, please accept my heartiest congratulations on their outstanding
achievements.
